HID Projector Retrofit problems
I did a projector retrofit on my car with 55w ballasts. They're fx 35 bixenon with a clear lens swap. I'm not sure what's wrong with the headlights but after they've been on for awhile they don't turn back on and I have to wait a little bit longer for them to come back on. It maybe that the ballasts are getting heated for some reason and I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the DRL's because I did get the flicker once but then it didn't happen again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
omgosh, i know who did that for you.. lightwerkz. I saw ur headlights in his shop when I went to see how i wana get mine done. crazy.
anyway, i doubt its the DRL's cause they run at a lower voltage. but if you turn on the low beam, there shudnt be anything wrong.
are you saying that when you turn your headlights off, after they have been on, they dont turn back on right away?

Hmm thats weird , but why even use 55w ballasts?
I know the new dodge's do the same problem and is easily ficed wiring a relay to power them and the low beam positive as a ignition switch .
Do both of the headlights do this or just one?
Kind of sounds like a bad bulbs or ballasts , maybe even a connection , but if both do it its going to be how they were wired or the on-board computer .

hey man, nice work by whoever did those for you.
ok so you are going to need a relay kit. it is always a plus to have a relay kit installed. thats what i did with mine and i havn't had such a problem. try that out. you are using the same set up as mine, but mine are off of a fx45. same stuff. might also be your ballast. make sure it ain't some cheap company.
let me know how that goes. it should solve ur problem.

hmm.. have you emailed ceasar about it if hes had any problems similar to yours?
Sounds like it could just be a ballast problem. Have you checked to see if its actually overheating by quickly, carefully touching it?

Yeah I've emailed him about it. He doesn't know how the wiring is set up for our headlights. And i just figured out that it might just be a ballast problem. I have touched it after it's been on for about 20-30 minutes and it's slightly warm not hot. I can turn them on and off quickly as many times as I want this only happens when it's been on for more than 5 minutes.
If you need new ballasts you can pm me and work something out .
I do run my own hid busniess so i could figure it out if everything is still good so feel free to pm me so that i could help you out if you want of get a new set .
