new pcv = low idle?

new pcv = low idle?
I changed out my PCV valve since the one in there looked OEM and when I changed it I..
shut car off
unplugged vacuum line
removed pcv
installed new pcv
replace line,started car
and it ran fine then I got to work and the car idle'd round 500rpm and it acted like it was gonna die, so I shut it off and turned it back on and it temp fixed it...it randomly happens and its driving me nuts!
anyone know what I can do?!
