auto tranny..

like the title says, my auto tranny is acting funny! (it kinda rhymes..) anyways, it seems to slip into neutral from 3rd to 4th gear like it would go out of 3rd and then if i give it a little blip, it revs like its in neutral and if i give it enough gas, it jerks into gear. other times, shifting up seems to be jerky also

my car has 23,000 miles on it, have done several oil changes but i havent done anything with the auto tranny fluid..could that be why? thx for all the help!

Sounds like the trans fluid might be low. Had a van that was doing something similar. It would engage OK but when I gave it gas it wouldn't move, then all of a sudden it jerked into gear and off I went.

yeah check your fluid, then if they are fine there are about 15 other things it could be. you need to either take it to the dealer or some service place to have the fluid pressure checked, and the electrical system checked (since our car is shifted electrically there may be a sensor out or one of your valves may have gone).

Check out thread https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...threadid=38883 there might be more info for ya. I should be going to get my oil changed next month and I'm going to have them look at mine then.
