Reset Engine service light

I recently changed my 2005 lancer 2.0 and everything works fine escpet that the engine service light illuminates. How can I reset my engine service light and how to diagnose the codes of this?

unplug the - on the battery for 15 min, plug it back, it should be cleared by then. if it comes back, go to auto zone they can pull the code for free.

If you have a Tactrix cable you can use ScanTech to read and clear codes. Otherwise just go to your local parts store and have them read the code and clear them out to turn it off.
