hehe i was driving one day and i stepped out of my car to find a little gum stuck to my carpeting mat<--however you spell that does anyone have any ideas as to how i should get it out ?
ps. i also have a oz rally so its got the emblem on the carpet, if the gum wont come out is there any way to get the oz rally carpets ?

try and remove as much as possible of the gum with solvent and a dry cotton cloth, then (believe it or not) put the floor mat in the washing machine (it does fit, try harder) with your regular detergent. Use 40°C, whatever that is in °F.
A good idea is to let some detergent soak into the stain for 10 minutes beforehand.

Useful conversion. Does that make the floor mats bleed color, Claud? I thought that was the general reason not to wash colors at high temps. Hope it works.
The dealership will charge you an arm and a leg because they can. Simple enough. Try buying any replacement part through them. It WILL cost you.

So this is nothing like the old wives' tales where you put peanut butter in someone's hair if they get gum in it? No ice cubes either? I may have to go step in some gum to test these ideas out... maybe not.

try ice first then the peanut butter... my mom used to do the peanut butter trick on my jeans when i sat in it in school.. believe it or not for sum reason it works..... oh yea she used jiffy non chunky.... lol
