Cheapest way to update maps on Factory Navi?

Hey guys,

I was wondering what the cheapest way to upgrade the navi maps is? I know its a couple hundred to have the dealer to it..

I believe mitsubishiparts.net (or .com) has the upgradeable disk, but I'm not 100% sure. Like $150 or so. Otherwise your only choice is to go to the stealership.

how often is the map updated? when was the last update?

The most recent update was released about April, 2009 and has maps from summer, 2007 iirc.

I heard that it's 4 times a year, so every 3 months. Again, not 100% sure.

Yep. Seems that "turn-by-turn" speech thing takes a year or so to get right. It's a whole lot different than a printed paper map (and even those are at least several months behind on new streets).

Every factory nav system I've seen with is like this.
