For me,its a pain. I dont know if its just me or what but its annoying. On my driver's side the bulb is in,but it isnt showing the full light. I put it in as tight as I could,and when I pull it out,it is ON. Doesnt even look like its out,but when I put it in the hole it doesnt show the full light,you can see a very dim light from it,but not the full lense,so i dont know what is up,and these things are a pain to change. I was actually a little worried cuz I smelt some burning,I guess I laid it against some plastic close by for a sec,and it was hot,and I put the bulb in the headlight and saw some smoke or something coming from it,and i was like what the heck? I am guessing that was probably why. But yeah,cant seem to figure out the bulb thing,and any suggestions on easy installation of bulbs would be appreciated! Or maybe just take it to walmart tire & Lube or something and have them screw with it

 

you know what, i hate dealing with my headlights its a pain for me too. I either give in and take the road of shame to autozone for them to put them in for me, or my friend somehow does them easily. I have the same problem i think with how my lights are angled. The lights shine down and i dunno where the screw is to adjust them and make them shine upwards. Iv just come to the conclusion its luck whether they work the first time or not. I'm sorry i don't have an answer to help u but just know that im right there with u

 

I need help on changing it too. I can't even get the bulb out, that's the thing... bump for an answer!
Edit: Mine is 06 IX no HID
