Why???

Why when i change out the dead keyless remote battery it will not work anymore? my wifes car will not do anything and i changed the battery on mine and it wont work by pressing the buttons on the remote only the buttons on the side of the car or trunk. help would be greatly appreciated tks

maybe a bad battery or dead key!! Try!

battery:SONY / Panasonic CR1632
Press the keys near the car, If it doesn't work!!

put the battery in the second key, if it works that's mean you have a dead key.

its a dead key...it happened to me. The key should still open doors and start the engine, but none of the buttons work. bring it back to the dealer and you will get a new one no questions asked if ur still under warranty

possibly a dead, unresponsive key FOB ECU....same thing happened to me (although I didn't replace the battery) BUt I got a new ECU under warranty....
