Brake problems on 06 lancer es

2006 lancer es, 5-speed manual. (Bone Stock)

So i removed the two bolts holding the brake caliber in opened the hood removed the the resevoir cap and placed an old brake pad on the caliber and used a C-clamp to compress it in.

Then i put the new brakes on. Put everything back together manually bled the brakes an went for a ride. The brakes do stop the car but almost feels as though it loses pressure.

And everytime i push the brake pedal in i hear a Clank! Clank And when i get back from taking the car somewhere it has this horrible odor coming from the brakes.

I pulled everything apart again and it all looks solid.... so im F*%#ing irritated!

Those little metal clips on the that hold the brakes are gone, they fell off didnt think it would matter, does it?

The old brakes were not bad at all and had plenty brake left on them. The rotors are fine no warp in them or anything. And the brakes worked great before i replaced them. (they were squealing)

Oh an the brake light came on.. so checked the fluid it was low.. added some in brake light did not go away so i slammed on the brakes doing.... 50mph and the brake light went away an has not returned.

Still hear CLANK! when i press the brake pedal in and everytime i hit a bump i hear what sounds like a broken exhaust bouncing around under the car hitting metal. The exaust is solid. Sound comes from both front wheels just depending on which side i hit the bump on.

Any ideas??????????? I been watching the brake fluid it is still full and is not leaking
