Heat shield should be included. I'd suggest talking to whoever you ordered from. If they don't help then talk to RMR.

I think he's talking about the chrome-colored cap at the end of the actual cone filter. Anyways, you're better off without it cuz you'll suck in more air.

Cap

Yeah guys I was talking about the cap on the end. Yeah I like the pic NYlancer better. So without the cap is better then. I was just wondering if I was supposed to get it or not. Oh well...I can't wait to get it installed. This is my first mod to the engine. How much HP and performance will it add? I am new to this. Let me know.

The filter should be easily replacable. No one has dynoed their car with just one part so far. I'd say worry less about numbers and more about how she drives. If you can feel a difference (which you should) then take it for what it's worth.

There is no such thing as the K&N Intake really. They only make filters. People slap an adaptor on them and they call it a K&N.

Please don't post in all caps. It's really annoying to read. Bottom line...the filter used isn't that big of an issue, but if you aren't happy with the one you got then it can easily be swapped/replaced with another.
