If the dashboard is beginning to light up like a Christmas tree then it's the alternator gone - have that part checked for proper voltage output.

Improper grounds are a real culprit. Do this for all the ground terminal connections to the chassis and the engine: Scrub with fine sandpaper, then clean with brake cleaner or carb cleaner, the round wire terminal that the screw goes through and the chassis/engine spot where it touches.

Similarly clean your battery terminals until they shine.

my tranny acts up for a few miles everytime i unplug the battery,,,,newer cars go figure.

The trans doesn't act up. It's likely the ECU that is re-learning the shift points.

Im going to buy a new Control Unit for the Cooling Fan and see if that fixes the problem. This is most likely the reason for my dash and headlights dimming and flickering all the time. Ill keep you updated!
