Blown Tranny maybe??? :( :( :(

Ok guys got an issue. After leaving a small store by my house today I went to let out the clutch and BOOM!!, basically it was like my foot slipped off the clutch which was not the case. I was still rolling a little and have clutch pressure but would not go into gear. Luckily since I was moving some I was able to get it into first and since I was only a block from my house I just punched it in first then coasted to my driveway. Again the clutch still feels normal.

When I got home I noticed that if I pushed in the clutch then started the car I could freely shift through the gears but as soon as I let off the clutch then pushed again with the car still running its a no go wont go into gear. Now If I start the car with the clutch pushed in and then put it in gear and go same thing happens with it banging into gear like I slipped off the pedal, and then I cant get it out of gear so I have to kill the car to stop

Any and all ideas are appreciated. I am going to tear into it in a couple days

Like it gets stuck in gear is what you are saying, and won't let out? Pressure plate doing something crazy maybe? Because it sounds like it's slamming into gear, no easing in. I may have misunderstood....but I bet once everything comes apart, you'll see the issue real quick. Think if you drain the fluid you'll see metal shavings or anything? hope not...hope it's ...well, heck, i dunno, might be cheaper if it's the trans, cause you can junk yard one for a reasonable price, maybe less than a clutch.

I would just take the tranny out anyways so you can also inspect your clutch at the same time. Sorry to hear about that man, at least you know how to assemble that stuff

I still question the slave cyl after talking last night, now that im thinking when mine went out the clutch did feel normal except couldnt feel it catching. Could force it in gear but decided better to just tow it at the time.

Well the only reason it gets stuck in gear is from what I can tell the clutch just stops working even though I still have pressure. I thought maybe some broken fins on the pressure plate but I cant see how it would cause this either .

I have to unfortunately there is no way around it but ya Im quick I have done this hundreds of times on various cars and probably at least 4-5 times on a lancer.

Well If I pull the tranny I am putting in a new bearing no matter what since its been making noise long since before the turbo.

Bearing for what? Also found my problem was the clutch disc broke a a piece of metal holding one of the springs causing it to bind up.
