Hey, so I recently bought an automatic 2002 ES from my dads cousin and it just started to make a strange grinding noise from the tranny. It only does it when it's in gear and going from 0-25ish MPH or when it's idleing. Any ideas on whats wrong?

 

im having the same problem with my 2002 lancer oz .. n i cant figure out what it is. sounds like the front end is falling apart. checked everything .. put a new stage 2 clutch in with new slave and wheel bearings, suspention, tie rods, ect.. and i am still having this noise.. can not find axles for it at all ..so if u find out what the problem is please email me at dan_lee1976@yahoo.com thank u
