i found a fuse that was out replaced it tried to turn my lights on and it blew the fuse again, i spliced in to the wire that went to the bulb and ran it to my battery and the light worked fine. im thinking now its making a bad connection some where, not sure where though. Still not sure why my dash light is out

All I would suggest is to double check on your fuses, if they are all fine check whether your dash bulb has blown off and replace it and finally check the wiring.

if the fuse blows, it means the current rating for that circuit has been exceeded. Bad connection won't blow fuses, you have high current short.

This.

You've got a short. Check all your wiring from the fuse box to the tail light. Don't put a higher rated (bigger) fuse in or you risk starting a fire.

I recently had the exact same problem. It happened right after I installed a new stereo unit. I kept blowing fuses so I pulled the radio out , replaced the fuse and it was fine. Just have no radio until I have time to figure the problem out

yeah it can be anywhere it was my tail light out so i thought probably somewhere by it but it ended up being a pinched wire from putting my center counsel back together from previous work, hope you find it
