My wife's 04 Lancer OZ temp dial recently broke and she is out of her warranty period at the moment.

Was wondering if someone can help me with part numbers that are needed to replace this. Dont want to go through the dealer.

Does the main front when replaced just include the temp dial or all 3 dials?

Also her climate control dial is stuck and wont defrost the car. What do I need to fix that as well?

You're going to have to replace the whole heater control unit. I wouldn't worry about the climate control knob at this point since the whole thing is coming out anyway. Check junk and salvage yards for a new heater control unit.

 

if you look under the dash on the driver side if you follow the wires going to the heater controls you can manually change the setting by moving the white gear that the wires go to

verify the engine coolant temperature sensor isn't pooched...

i thought you meant the temp gauge in the cluster and also the the climate control on the HVAC control...derp!

 

Thanks guys. I looked at the white part that attaches to the knob and it ended up breaking in the process, so it looks like ill need a whole new unit.

Can someone steer me in the right direction to purchase one? Im looking for a used one.

I noticed that some units for sale says "without AC" is it just the heater unit or does it have the heater/ac? A bit confused.

The white shaft knob was the one that broke off into the temp dial knob.

Can I get a new white shaft knob and attach it back to the knob itself?
