My OZ lancer paint if fading into a greenish color. I have only hade this car for 4 months. Is this happening to any one else? The ****ty *** paint is also chipping off really fast i have chips all over the side of the car.

 

Not happening to mine, all I have is a lot of bug splatter.

 

Nope. Have you used a funky wax or not waxed it at all? Washed it with green paint etc.?

 

no i havent waxed it yet.

 

Well you might want to give that wax a try also what color is your Lancer?

mine is yellow also, 1 week old, and has a couple of green spots on it. i think the paint was sprayed thin in the greener spots. mine is just on the top edges of a couple of the ground effects so i will not mess with it.

 

yeah i have a yellow OZ as well and the paint has been chipping and turning green along the edges...i have contacted mitsubishi about it and i am getting my lower panels repainted next monday (i have been procrastinating b/c the manager told me it is okay (3 yr. warranty)) so if your paint is begining to fade or chip bring it to the dealership and they should take care of it!

 

So far I am not seeing any faiding, but this afternoon I was washing my car and the paint on the bumper started pealing off. WTF?

 

yeah, i hear you...i think when i take my car in to have them paint it i will have them look at all of the body componants. They told me that they will need my car for 2-3 days to paint the one passanger side piece, might as well look over everything so i dont have to leave my car with them again for another couple of days

 

um, is anyone else's sideskirt coming off? mine is and its pissing me off

 

mine are on there pretty good...it is coming off a bit near my exhaust but that is from all the heat...thats the first i have heard of them coming off?

 

I'm not having any of those problems thank god. Now watch my f--kin bumper falls off.

 

i have the white oz and i have noticed a lot of chips in it but its all in places where rocks could have hit so i didnt think much about it. i might have to pay closer attention to it.

 

yea dude, i have a black OZ ive had since february, paint is chipping BAD right where the doors meets the side skirt when the door is closed, and on the inside, waxed once in march, but **** this paint sucks we should all complain and see if theyll do a recall...maybe give us some EVOS instead... probably not...but still, i want better paint theres spots on the hood doors and on the sideskirts...it just like flakes off, its so irretating
i like the lancer but they got lazy on the paint, also my black is looking kinda grey is some spots, most noticebly right after i wash it, if its in the sun it really stands out, looks almost liek a grey oz... why!!!!!!!!!!!!
