Broken Buschur Filter
HELP! I just bought the Buschur Racing Intake and I was trying to install the filter when one of the bolts broke off. I dont really want to buy a new one or call up Buschur Racing. What can I use to reattach it? Super Glue? Solder? Leave as is?

did it break off, or fall out? Can you tell how the other 3 bolts are being held into place?
You could probably use some JB-weld to re-attach it to the plate in the pic (built in mas adapter I assume) and then bolt it from the other side. You could also try removing the filter from that plate, shove the bolt through, bolt it to the mas nice and snug and then re-attach the filter??
I would also call/email Buschur and see what they recommend. Always a good idea, that way they also know about potential issues they are having in the "field".

It broke off of the filter bottom plate (Yes, that is a built in MAS adapter). The nut was semi-welded to the plate from the inside. I say semi-welded because it looks like they only welded each nut in three spots. I've PMed David about it but he's not on right now so I'll have to wait.
Did you break it bending the bolts out so that it will actually align with the holes in your MAF? I'm pretty sure mine came close to breaking when I did that. All 4 of my bolts were facing towards the center. JB Weld would probably work because you just need something to hold it in place while you tightn the MAF on, unless it breaks loose when you try and take it off next time round (that would be fun). I'd either get it tack welded again or send it back.

You'll need to have it tack welded to prevent it from spinning. It's gonna cost you a few bucks, but it's cheaper than a replacement plate from Buschur. There really isn't any way you'll fix this for free, unless you know someone who will tack it for you.
Sweet air hocket table, BTW.

Do those epoxies withstand heat very well? I'm just worried about it melting cause of engine heat and then I'd have a big problem. Also how much do those cost and where can I find them? But I still would like to know if soldering would work. And if you dont know what soldering is solder is the stuff used on things like computers to connect transistors and other metal wireing. It has a melting point of about 136 degrees F.
EDIT: OK, never mind about the heat question. I went to the store and found some epoxies (didn't buy : forgot money) and they withstand up to 200 degrees f. If my intake heat got over 200 degrees I think I'd have much more to worry about than the epoxy.

Ya, im just going to use some epoxy thanks guys for your help! (So much for not trying to spend any money)
Ya, I like it too. Its good for parties. It also works as a handy work bench, too.
