Ac not blowing cold?

My ac has recently stop blowing cold and i had the car since 60k miles, now its got 160k miles >.< ... I never had the car recharged yet so im assuming it needs ac recharge. When i turn on ac it just blows out cool air, but not cold like i need it to.. any suggestions?

I would say just recharge it but if you had your car for over 100k miles already, you might want to have your system check for leaks first.

Also if the car is in park for a while, the ac tends to blow out hot air..

this ^ by far. she's probably got a few pinholes where she leaked out over the years. only a couple pounds. but yeah it'll have to be sucked. pressurized inspected. pulled vacuum. then filled and maybe a little dye if no leak was found. and at that miles its very possible to have a leaking compressor.

a/c should work pretty much as soon as you hit the button. unless you've been running the heater for a few hours heat soaking everything. but even then 30 seconds or so you should notice cold air.
