Unhappy axel back exhaust install problem

the axel back exhaust i purchased went in fine no problem.but when the exhaust heats up i think it torques, this causes it to rub the side of the bumper. ( o.z. ) anybody have any ideas on how to stop this? i cant find metal exhaust hangers to replace the rubber one either.

i've got a pretty beefy axle-back on mine, and haven't seen this problem yet. however, mine is welded at the hangers, so it doesn't move much at all. is it causing the bumper to melt?

yes actually it did scorch it a bit, but i've since solved the problem.
i used some hose clamps and utilized the third exhaust mount to straighten it out.

when i first put it on it was straight but after a drive down the interstate i gues it settled in crooked and melted the bumper before i realized it. i had taken a short drive when i first put it on and nothing happened. thought everything was good, guess not.

David.. i think that they make peices of metal that goes around the notch in the bumper I think its technically made for an evo, but it will fit fine on the lancer, also you can get the muffler bent at a muffler shop for about 10 bucks... or heat up the muffler yourself and try to bend it. If you run a search on bumper melting you should find some solutions
