AXel Back?

Hello All --
I was on Pruven site and it states the following about the Axel Back they sell
"This is a dyno sheet of our exhaust. The 273.4 hp is with the stock muffler. The 285 hp number is with our muffler. With the addition of our muffler system you will loose boost. So you will need a boost controller to turn the boost back up to make the hp. You loose on average 1 to 2 psi of boost."

Is this true for all Axel Backs and/ Or Cat Backs?

I want to get the Buschur racing AB but I don't want to lose power....

Help

I don't want the turbo back because it voids the warranty... but and axel back will not...

This is true, you will lose some boost.
But, when my car was stock, no MBC or Dynoflash my car dynoed at 222 on a dynopack.
After two pulls we installed an axle back with the car still attached to the dynopack. It put down 232 with the axleback. I do not know the loss of boost, I did not have a boost controller back them.
The 10 hp gain was across the entire range, with 11hp in the lower rpms.

It was a one off by MaddEvo8. He has an online parts store, but I am not sure if he is still doing it. It was very similar to the WORKS axle back.
Thing to note is that this is on a dynopack, reading on other dynos may vary.

You are correct, even a catback won't void your warranty ... you can check my other thread for more info:
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=120045

From what I have read catbacks usually give any where from 0hp - 15hp gain. One of the biggest differences with an aftermarket exhaust (muffler) is that it is much lighter than stock and produces a much louder/aggressive sound .... usually if the exhaust flow freer it should actually increases your boost slightly ....
