I think i messed up my gauges
Okay. i was trying to do a custom job of tinting the gauge color to blue, using blue transparent paper. well i got the gauges out ,and i put the paper under the black guages, the best i could anyway, well...umm. started the car up, headlights on...everything works...my gauges are blue, but i started moving my car, and my gauges are off. My speedometer is a little slow, and my gas and tempature gauges appear to be at a stand still. To make a long story short....what could this be? is the problem with wiring? Fuse? or computer? or needles? I didnt mess w/ ANY wiring, but what do i do?

I dont think u can fix it.. u may have to buy a new cluster.. someone is selling their oz cluster on the forum anyways.. which looks better than an es cluster u shouldnt pay any more than 150 for it.
You can fix it. I fixed mine a few times.
1. The gauge face iteslf has to clip into the clear plastic clips around where the needles go.
2. You should have taken the pegso ut and marked where the needle sits WITHOUT the peg, then when you put it back together, put the needle on, then push it forward, put the peg back on, and let it fall back dead on the peg. You should have been measuring where all your needles sat regardless.
3. If you push the needles down too far they won't "float". They should try to return themselves back to dead rest when you move them. The gauge face not being "clipped" into place will cause the needles to cease floating as well.
Good luck. It's a pain in the ***.

hey
Okay here's the thing. I took them apart to customize the color of my gauges w/ transparent paper (blue color), adn when i put the gauges back IN, after putting the sheets in there, it wouldn't work correctly, SO I THOUGHT...so i took the sheets OUT, and put the gauges back in , like NORMAL, and after a couple of days, i think it's fixed. it's weird.. I dunno, but i really liked the blue color i had for like 5 mins, before i got scared.

hey
that's exactly what i've been starting to think, myself! it explains it. cause' i did DOUBLE the layers or paper. I had one sheet at first, but it wasn't as blue, so then i used 2 sheets

No, your gages are still off. I know because I did the same thing. The closest I cold come was to take the needles back off, and put them on so they were just a little past the peg (don't put them all the way on). When they've started to hold the pin, move the needle past the peg (may require lifting of the needle) and once you're n the other side reseat the needle (push back down all the way). Give them a few flips to make sure they go back to zero. My tach is about right on and my speedo is accurate given that my tire diameter is 1% less than stock- +- 1 MPH.
Good luck dude
