Brake Light Out, Very Weird

UPDATE
Problem went away then all of a sudden today my brake light went out on the passenger side. The lights still come on when you turn the headlights on, turn signal works, and reverse light still works. When I press on the brakes the light does not get brighter. The drivers side and spoiler still work fine. Switched out to stock and still doesn't work, changed the bulbs and everything. Taking it into the dealer on monday. Hopefully they won't give me **** when they see my sri or stereo system. Anybody have any clue to what's going on? The only thing I noticed is that the connecter that hooks into the tail light is kind of rusted I guess you could say, just looks darker than the good one. Read below for the earlier story.

Weird thing started happening today. When applying the brakes the right turn signal arrow on my cluster lights up, not fully but enough to see. And when I say cluster I mean the spedo tach ect on the inside of the car. It doesn't happen all the time but often. I have rrm tails, could that be the problem? All the bulbs check out fine. It's weird, if it keeps happening I'm prob gonna switch back to the stock tails and see if it goes away and if not take it into the dealer

sounds like a ground problem, or the turn signal is getting shorted to power when the brake on/off switch is depressed

look at the wiring bundle on the tail lens of the sie that is lighting up. It sound as though there is a "partial" short to the ground side of the brake light bulb. amke sure you did not crmip or crush the bundle.

make sure you did not chafe it either.

if you have access to a multi meter you can read out the good side and compare it to the side that is giving you the problem.

i would do this before swapping them back out.....

if you cannot get it done take it back to the dealership but, INSTALL THE ORIGINAL LENS TO AVOID ANY DEALER ISSUES ABOUT THE WARRANTY

good luck
