Horn Does not stop
Horn Does not stop
Just bought the car used about 3 weeks ago and little by little i have taken off all the after market crap the kid put in because it was all crap stuff anyhow. well i noticed i did not have a horn when i hit the horn pad so i looked under the hood and both horns were disconnected so i connected it back and hit the horn pad and i was good to go. well the next day luckily during the day the horn went off with a constant horn sound so i disconnected the horns. i thought it may be the relay but i changed it and its still doing it. so i removed it and just left it alone so now i just got me the oem key fob and installed it and it worked so i wanted to see if the locking of the car with oem key fob would make the horn go off when it locks so i connected it back. it worked and the horn was not going off no more until i hit unlock on the key fob and it was blaring at me i pulled the relay and right after i did that the car locked it self. so moral of this story and question car horn stays quite until you un arm factory alarm. has anyone ran into this problem i just want my horn back and not have ghetto rig one anyhelp would be great.

Horn pad had gone bad so went to junk yard and got a airbag/hornpad on a car that the airbag had deployed and cost me $4 and cut it about removed all the screws and rivets and pieiced it all back together with new rivets and now i have a functioning horn only took me to 2 years to go and get it done instead of spending $400-$600 for a new airbag and hornpad.
