2002 Lancer OZ Rally, No brake lights.

Hey guys, I have a 2002 Lancer OZ Rally and I have no brake lights.

THE RUNNING LIGHTS WORK - but neither of the stop lights or the third brake light in the spoiler work. Any suggestions?

I checked the stop light fuse in the engine bay and it was fine.
I know there is a brake light switch above the pedal, how do I check if it is ok?

Also, unsure if this is related but the alternator died a few weeks ago
and after replacing the alternator we noticed the brake lights did not work.

Did you disconnect the battery when you replaced the alternator? Maybe you blew a fuse doing that. Sounds like you didn't check the cabin fuse. They're located behind the coin cubby by the door. Look at the diagram and check the fuse.

Yes, we did disconnect the battery. I have also already checked the cabin fuse on the drivers side of the dash. It was fine.

I'd double check all your fuses. Not just brake related, every one in the engine bay and below the steering wheel. I drove my lancer for a week with no radio because I didnt check the damn dome light fuse. Theres a chance a different fuse blew that is in some way connected to the brake lights. If that doesnt work Id check the wiring.
