So a few weeks ago my CEL comes on and i brought it to autozone.. i believe the code was P0401 which was the EGR flow was insuffecient. This is nothing to worry about if its a freak thing, but over time it can hurt the engine (too much heat). I reset the ecu and a few days later it came on so i reset the ecu and cleaned out my intake. I came on again today and i'm stumped. My car is running incredibly well and the only thing that changed was i put in new spark plugs (gapped to the apporpriate gap). What should i do??

 

I had the same problem I believe and they did it under warranty.. replaced the valve.

 

I'm not under warrenty anymore :-( and haha i would definetly be voided anyways lol... the valve isnt too expensive i hope??

possibly a break in the EGR hose.

 

hmm my CEL is on again so i better get that checked too..
