Erratic speedometer 03 Lancer LS A/T

My speedometer has been acting weird for the longest. Sometimes it will get stuck at 60 regardless of how fast or slow I'm going. I swapped out my input speed sensor with an aftermarket dorman speed sensor and it went back to normal for a few days... my trans even shifted smoother. Now it seems like it's gotten worse. Speedometer says I'm going 55-60 when I'm driving about 25-30. It'll only go past 60 when i hit 80 or more. No check engine light on the dash either, btw.

Figured it would have to do with that. Might end up getting a oem input and output to be sure. Replace the aftermarket input while I'm at it.

Finally , I have the same problem. I bought this piece offline. It says its an input plug.
I tried it in to places.
The first place (ontop of tranny underneath the intake box) kinda had to force it in the wiring harness and when I put it in the whole the scree holes didnt match.

The second place too the left and above the first spot . Seemed like it went into the engine. I kinda had to force it in the wiring harness again. It fit in the hole and the screw holes matched perfectly. So I screwed it in. I tried to start it , it wouldnt turn over. So I switched back to the old part , and it started fine.

Im not sure if they gave me the wrong part or I put it in the wrong place. Can you post a pic where the input and output sensors are.

Terribly late response, but i swapped out my output speed sensor with an oem part and my shifting is much smoother. But my speedometer is still acting up. May end up replacing the aftermarket input with an oem input. I'll post a pic of the locations shortly.
