If the car is running and I unplug IAC should the engine drop in rpm?
If I take the IAC out, leave it pluged in and turn key on the IAC moves out turn key off IAC moves in. Would this mean the IAC is working properly.
Having idle problem. It was idling high until I figured out that the throttle cable was to tight. So I lossened the cable now it idles to low, with a/c on its worse.

 

You can try pulling it out and cleaning it first. You might want to check your vacuum lines as well.

 

Have cleaned IAC. Have also check all vacuum lines. I am going to put it back together and start it up and let it ecu relearn idle. I think that because the throttle cable was to tight that it threw off the ecu. Now that I loosened it off it has to relearn how to idle.

 

It could be. What ever you do don't mess wit the BISS screw.

 

IAC is working. I put a/c on and idle increased. My bad idle was caused by bad plugs, oil in plug tubes, throttle cable to tight.
Installed new plugs, valve gasket and plug tube seals, loosed throttle cable.
Car running smooth with no high idle.

 

I'm glad you got it fixed. I need to do my valve cover gasket soon too.
