Find a longer road that goes downhill.

while we're comparing size, I go from 0 to 110mph (177km/h) in a quarter mile, i don't even get into 5th gear

is it automatic or manual? what RPM were you at? sounds like a speed limiter/governor...if you can reflash the ECU you can get rid of that.

so looking at his post, is this a Non US spec lancer? I thought they all had a 4g94 unless it was an evo? at least in that year frame.....

so I have a FWD stock lancer, and I was in 5th gear, giving it all it had.... haha, I think it could have gone more, but at that point, I was like ok, I better slow down, if I get pulled over, I am going to jail......

maybe the motor isn't powerful enough to overcome the increased drag through the air, lol

How fast are you expecting this thing to go?

Sounds like it is a regular, auto lancer, wit ha really small motor? my 03 has a 4g94 and is a 2.0l

155kmh is 96 mph,

and 190kmh is 118 mph

those are already pretty respectable, and faster than you should need to go......

the OP isn't saying if it's limited or not...a speed limiter is very obvious, as it cuts fuel injection to the motor, you'd know for certain if you were hitting any kind of pre-programmed speed limiter...
