quick question about lights.

hello, I have not actually started checking yet but looking more for information than anything. All the lights on the dash work but none work on the climate control section. I am curious if those are on the same fuse as the dash lights. One other question is the area on the dash that shows the miles and trip does not light up. Is it supposed to be back lit. The vehicle is a 2003 lancer es, automatic.

all illumination of the gauge cluster should be on the same fuse (#21 in the under hood fuse/relay box) so it's possible the lamp is burnt out. For the climate controls, illumination is powered by fuse #20. both fuses also power tail lights and license plate lights, among other things, and both fuses get power through the front ECU tail light relay, so be sure your tail lights are working.

I put new bulbs in the climate control and got them working, they look a bit orange i think its because I dont have those blue rubber things on them. I took out the gauge cluster and seen how small the bulb was and was like WTF. where in the hell do i get that small of a bulb at. May just stop by the dealer and see if they sell them.
