been awhile sense i have posted here but i am at a loss and could use some help.

My Rear wiper has stopped working. For a while the stereo/speakers had some issues but that went away on its own.

I have checked the manual and there is no fuse for the rear wiper, when i went to put the spare in slot 11 like it said the fuse just fell out, its as there is nothing there holding it in.

Any ideas? Possibly a relay? I can't find a manual/diagram for the relays.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

 

I don't have the schematics for the hatchback.

If fuse 11 says spare, then there are no wires going to it. It won't hold a fuse.

I would say there should be a relay for the wiper at the rear. It might be under the drivers left hand side, or in the engine compartment on the left hand side beside the battery.

There should be a label I would think.

Worst case if you can't find a power circuit for it, get a test light and go to power and ground at the wiper motor in the rear and test for power when the wiper is set to on (not intermittent)

 

I know you looked - but double-check for a fuse... (I don't have the car here to look at the manual)


If there is a relay (location is in the manual as well), swap it with a similar part number relay (usually the horn) and see if that fixed it.


Lastly, pull the plastic panel on the hatch and expose the motor. Check the connector and especially ground. Check for power (like mentioned above). The wiring goes through that little plastic tube (upper left as you face the open hatch) and into the roof and then down to the left rear and left front door sills.
