Hello all! =)

I have a strange problem with my Lancer X 2008 1.8 (european market): The factory head unit (rockford fosgate) buttons won't work for the radio. They work when I set the clock, so no mechanical problem. Radio works fine and I'm also able to change volume and tracks on my steering wheel. It started acting funny 1 year ago, when buttons misfunctioned randomly, then few month ago it stopped working. Checked the fuses, they are ok. Checked the ribbon cable and even replaced it with a new one. Any tips how to "pair" the buttons with the radio again? Thanks for any advice in advance.
