Exclamation Installed my intake today, but theres one lil problem...

the 'service engine lights comes on'. How do i get rid of that. Doesnt bug me that much, but i feel like i ****ed up my engine. Also if i go to mistu to get any prob fix, they wont because they'll see the 'service engine light on' and it'll void my warranty. Help me get rid of that stupid light. Thanks

did u run the vacuum line from the valve cover to the intake, mine did the same thing when I removed this line and hooked up a breather instead.

no ur supposed to have that line, I put on my cai, and it ran fine, then I disconnected that line and installed a breather, and almost immediatley the cel came on, put the line back on, removed the breather, and cel turned off, that was just my guess.

i read in another thread of yours that it was from a civic si. maybe the piping is too small and not allowing enough air in.

Here's how you clear your cel, reset your ecu, for like five minutes, plug it back in and run the car for like twenty mins, allows the cpu to adjust for more air flow, worked for me, or drive down to autozone and just have them clear the friggin error with an obdII scanner, I went and bought one for this type of crap.

yea go dieconnect it for 30 minutes. THen let the car run for 15 minutes just let it idle. Then it shold be good because the computer can adjust for the more air going in.

you're lucky, mine tripped the cel almost immed. kept clearin it with the scanner, but it kept comin back up, so I just plugged the vac line back in, hasn't given me crap yet.
