I was just wondering if this sounds like it might be a problem with my car or if its normal. When I start from first gear and the RPM is 1000 or more it starts to make a whining noise, also it is also there when going from 2 to 3rd gear.

Is this normal or does it sound like a problem and if so what could it be?

 

"whining" is never normal in my book, go to a pepboys shop and they will do a free inspection and tell you what it is...

 

Is the AC on when you hear this? Try turning the AC off and the temp to max (that turns the fans off completely) and then see if the whining is still there. I know my AC gets sympathetic vibrations from the engine, making it sound like the engine is whining.

 

no no it was the breaks, i got em done and its gone glad it was nothing more serious...
