Help With Kamakazie Header

Hey guys... i've owned a Kamakazie header for about several months now... n the problem i am having with it is that the header and the downpipe come loose. You know where the header and the downpipe connect... the f'ing thing comes loose, and the gasket falls out or something... last time it basically was not dere anymore... it has happened to me twice now... and the second time i went to a muffler shop and had them tighten it all the way... has this been happening to any one else... if it keeps happening... i might have a kamakazie header and downpipe for trade with a rpw header and downpipe.

i dont think anyone in their right mind would trade a rpw header for a kamikaze. dont get me wrong, kamikaze is good, but rpw is better. as for the gasket issue, my kamikaze doesnt do that at all. the only problem i got is when the DP rubs against the chassis when i reverse. and the damn ricey noise when the car hits hgher rpms.

same thing happened to me on the express way. basically the bolts that kamikaze sends are weak. all you have to do is get some new bolts/locking washers/nuts, and your good to go. its been about 3 months since that happened to me, and everything is perfect.

Get new bolts and a new collector gasket. Mr. Gasket ones are better than the ones they sent out. If you have an issue with the reverse rub thing, take it to a muffler shop and have them bend the down pipe down a little. Fixed my issue permanently. Only thing that is wrong now is that it's ugly...lol. Need a jet coat

I lost my bolts 3 times so far. This weekend, when doing my spring I took the time to tighten them with the impact wrench and also added a locking washer.

My roommate (pickleknock) curses his Kamikaze header and I think he's going as far as having the downpipe welded on.

a lock washer could help ... i was thinking that welding the two together would be ideal .. but could be a pain in the **** to install/uninstall if needed?

Couldn't you use some hi-temp lock-tight to keep the nuts/bolts from loosening?

I've got the Kamikaze and downpipe with stock exhaust including the cat. I doesn't sound ricey at all, and I didn't feel any lowend loss... I do not regret my choice

ok, well i dont know how blaze did it but i lost low end and as it hits the higher rpms i hear a whizzing noise like hondas have. so it sounds ricey. and as for the low end, i lost it but the high end is GREAT, thats why its still in my car.

Can you possibly have some sort of exhaust leak? I did get a rice sound, but that was when I lost the bolts connecting the downpipe to the headers.

Did you keep your stock exhaust system AND the cat, or have you done any changes?

Mine is a touch louder than stock, but ain't ricey
