Well, today going down I-80.. spanking the hell out of an intercooled GS-T... my Lancer OZ was running fine.. i currently have an RRM non-i/c turbo kit, RRM header, and RRM test pipe.. after i pull on the GS-T 5 cars.. i let off.. and take the exit.. i get on it just a bit to get up the exit.. turbo was working fine both times.. when i take a left from the stop.. the turbo was not spooling anymore..
Now i had just installed the RRM header two days prior.. and i had to take off the wastegate and disconnect the header and up-pipe connection... the gaskets seem to be fine.. however there was some wear on them... i have replaced all vacuum lines in the car(that came with the turbo) but the car is still not spooling.. i will get a boost gauge tomorrow to determine if its a boost leak.. however.. there is no air coming out of the dump tube when the car is reved.. which leads me to believe that the waste gate is still building pressure.. so could there be a boost leak or a broken compressor.. I have the t-28 made by garret that came with the kit.. so does anyone think it will still have the warranty?? i've only had it for 6 months.. and never have turned up the boost.. or abused the turbo excessively(i've just put it to use..
moderately)..
If anyone can help me out and plz give me any suggestions.. also regarding warranty and gaskets and boost leaks what to check... replace.. or repair.. it would be greatly appreciated..

well for one thing the gs-t was most likely not trying at all. cuz if it had a front mount chances are it was probably worked a little too and would spank the crap out of you if it was trying...
anyway, if your for sure that the wastegate is closed and its still not making any pressure then the compressor probably somehow broke. which is unusual, maybe the turbo ran dry of oil for a second and siezed up. if the compressor wheel broke then it would probably grenade into your motor causing serious damage.
i guess try taking the intake side of the turbo pipe off and try to spin the turbine with your finger, if it spins freely and has no shaft play then it will most likely be some kind of wastegate problem. although the shaft could have snapped also, but still...rather unlikely.
if its none of that..then some kind of serious boost leak. but you would definatly be able to hear it.

hey thanks a lot zlancer... i'll definately check it out tomorrow.. got all new gaskets and stuff ready.. even went out and bought a boost gauge..
But the guy with the GS-T did come up to me and gave me props and said that he was on it.. i dont take that as much complement considering he almost lost to my friend with a Del Sol.. so i guess he just doesnt know how to drive it properly.. + the i/c is the only modification to his car other than the exhaust he has on.. so i dunno.. but seeing that half his friends witnessed him and I on the highway.. he confessed and gave me props which is kool..
once again thanks for the help.. if anyone has anymore suggestions on what to check or how to check it plz let me know..
