Sunroof Wont Close, anyone experience this?

So yesterday after I came back from lunch, i rolled up all my windows and went to close my sunroof .. the sunroof closes 3/4 of the way and stops, wont go anyfurther.

I re-opened it all the way, tried again and it wont close all the way - gets to about 3/4 of the way and stops.

Typically when it closes the sunroof, it "grabs" the slider thing (to close the sun from coming in) and pulls it out of the roof lining a bit .. it also no longer grabs this.

When i tried to close it this morning, I hear some grinding noises.

I'm gonna take the car to the dealer for service .. but was curious if anyone has had this problem with their factory sunroof? My car is a 2003 OZ with ~18k miles.

I find that sometimes mine wont open. The solution I found was to Open my window and close it and then It would work. I odnt get it either. Maybe they are some how connected, or the air pressure helped. You never know though, try it.

Anyone want to take bets that when they move it into the service garage, they pop the hood to see whats under the CF hood?

I have a 2003 OZ too, my sunroof works fine. I'm glad to hear that if I do have a problem it will be covered.
