Vaccum Hoses

Ok I ordered the hose kit from RRM and I recieved only three hoses. I know I have to cut and measure to size, but on the page it says there is enough for the 4mm, 6mm, 8mm and 10mm but it seems I only got three sizes. Also I counted 8 vaccum hoses on my lancer is this correct?

You may want to e-mail or call RRM about that rather than posting about it. I think you'd be far more likely to get a prompt and correct response.

If you go to the RRM lancer page, they show you exactly whre each hose goes. I followed it with no problem. There is one hose that is the medium guage. This hose does not get cut and is goes from the radiator to coolant resevior. This hose that RRM sent me was too short, so check before lining up. I called them and quickly sent me the correct length. RRM is the ****.

Just holding the hose along with your stock hose should tell you how much and how wide each should be. Talk to RRM if you still think there's a problem.

The way I see it you're asking the nurse (us) when you should be asking the doctor (RRM).

No problem with finding which hose goes where, there was just a misprint on their site. There is no 10mm only 4mm, 6mm and 8mm hoses. That is where I got confused.

Silicone resists high temperatures and degradation better than rubber.

Plus doesn't it do better at resisting "collapse" in vacuum situations?

I can't get the "U" shaped hose not to kink. I've tried a short hose, a longer length of hose (to make a horseshoe shape), and reinforcing the outside, but no success. Although it seems to be open enough for air to flow through, I'm putting the stock one back on for that section just to be safe. But other than that, these hoses resist the heat well and look great under my hood
