Lancer Engine Damper

Weapon R has released an awesome new product for the true enthusiast! These dampers hold down your motor and prevent it from rocking during launch and competition use. We tried one in our Project EVO 8 and love it!

One of the things that impressed us the most about the Weapon R Engine Damper is that the shifting improved remarkably. Shifting into gear during all conditions was much much smoother, and quicker. We attribute this to the fact that the damper holds the engine firmer, so the shift linkage doesn't move, and thus allows the car to shift smooth.

It's not a power upgrade... it's designed to more or less resist the potential to move your engine has whenever you hit the gas, just like engine mounts would. At best, it will allow more power to reach the ground, through better traction, but it won't actually increase power output.

it causes the engine to move much less than it does. thus reducing wheel hop and increasing traction. you wouldnt believe how much our engine actually does move. id bet it also helps with weight transfer as well.

Basically you'll get the same benefits as your would with new, stiffer motor mounts but for much cheaper.

i doubt itll be as good as stiffer mounts, but itll be damn close. and you can also do the mounts yourself for a lot cheaper.

Not really that much cheaper than motor mounts concidering they I got mine for $160. The product makes sense and I'd like to see someone pick one up and leave some feedback. And I'm sure that with motor mounts and this installed there should be a significant decrease in wheel hop and engine movement. Looks good.
