IT is not hard to install. Figure on 30 minutes to do it. Lancerguy, you called yesterday. I would install it with turbo kit. You will get better reading from your wideband. You did notr mention that you are still on sotck manifold still. It will take some time to install with turbo kit already in place but you can run a little more boost with that first cat removed.

I wanna know, just for the sake of headers and my own personal knowledge.
I live in California, like alot of the guys here. only i don't know what the hell is going to stop the header from givin me CEL. i have over heated the o2 sensor driving back from vegas once. so how could i stop the CEL from showin up is there a way to hinder that while still keeping it active for other CEL applications?

Rock, quick question:
This is the header that is in your turbo setup. So if someone was to buy this, and have it installed on N/A motor, may I assume that there is a ~$350 price cut on the Turbo kit??? Or am I waaaayyyyy off?

THis is the same header that can be used with turbo kit. It was never included with turbo kit but when coupled with the turbo kit, allows you to run a little higher boost.
How do you overheat O2 sensor? What leads you to believe that?

It's all good. I will be talking to you about that turbo kit later this week. I already have the header..
And to Everyone, IT IS GREAT HEADER!!! It does add a little more cab noise, but what header wouldn't??? It is a recommend!

Let me explain. The turbo kits are designed to bolt to your stock exhaust manifold. That allows it to be smog legal in many states. The kit is complete. The kit is ENHANCED by using our header and allows you to run a little more boost because of the lack of a cat building heat behind it. That clear it up?

Couple questions that may seem stupid but who cares...
1) I am getting a supercharger kit from RIPP. Any fitment issues that you know of?
2) Any way to change headers AND keep the cat. so you still have two?

The design of the RRM header does not make provisions for an internal Cat, you would need to purchase one... Layout would be:
head->header->O2(1)->Pre Cat-> O2(2)->Cat-> (cat back exhaust)
With the RIPP Modd S/C- there shouldn't be, for 2 reasons:
1) The S/C is belt driven by bracket above Extractor (Header)
- The only possible way that it might interfere is the thickness of the Header Flange, as I believe the S/C bracket attaches to 1 or 2 Header studs. << Ripp Would have to confirm
2) A S/C is not associated to Exhaust like a Turbo is so no plumbing to exhaust is needed...

Thanks for the quick reply. Not even the sales guy!
I'm interested in this header for sure but am hesitant due to the CEL issues that seem to pop up on these. I read in another thread that another header does not have this problem and it is seemingly from the placement of the o2 nipple (hehe, he said nipple). On the other one it is higher up and actually on only one of the pipes. What kind of work has to be done with this header to bypass the CEL issue?

I have had the header now for about 2 months... I also have a test pipe in place, so I have no cats....
I have yet to have the CEL come on... it really seems to be hit or miss with that...
I think there is ways to trick the O2 sensor but I didn't need to go that route as I didn't get the CEL.
Good luck!!
