I just put my new lights on my yellow Lancer... looks AWESOME!!! One problem though... the lights stay on, and don't change whether I apply the brakes or not. The only way I can tell I am hitting the brakes is the light in the spoiler. Is there any way to fix this? Is it a defect and I have to send it back? I don't feel too safe about driving around like this at night.

sounds like the same problem gfd205 was describing rallyrat. is anyone else that has them on having that problem? i should be getting mine by the middle of next week maybe we can figure out what you did to cause the brake lights to be on all the time because everytime we install something on our lancer everything seems to go wrong before we get it right

...and this was after I returned those awful TYC lights. I am so frustrated. When are we going to be able to get aftermarket mods for our cars that we don't have to worry about? I'm still trying to figure out how to install my RRM strut bar. But that's another issue. There's got to be a fixable wiring issue with these lights.

Manufacturer tolld me they would replace any defects. Remeber these are first lights. If there is an easy fix and I think there is. We can detail that. If not. Lights get replaced.

Here is the deal. Easy fix for you. If you do not want them then Manufacturer will send new harnesses out when they get them.

FIX. On the main plug 2 wire are in wrong place. SOLID GREEN and GREEN W/ WHITE Stripe. Slice black sleeve open a little. About three inches from the plug cut both of those wires and switch them. Use a nice BUTT connector and electrical tape the connectors. PRoblem solved. Time 10 minutes! Sorry for this. Manufacturer is the culprit. Good thing is they came to my shop and trouble shot the problem themselves and are willing to give out new harnesses to anyone that needs it. But problem can be fixed as described above. We jumped all over this as fast as we could. Perhaps someone can do this fix and post a pic or two.
