Mine took forever. Most peoples' didn't take long at all. It was worth the money and the wait.

It's not that hard. One guy claimed to do it in 30 minutes...I dunno about that. Took me around 90 minutes. It's more tedious than difficult. Taking apart the console and reading the instructions took longer than the install itself.

...And I lost a non-essential washer. I'd advise being very careful and not doing that. I haven't had any problems and I doubt I will, but that was still mighty stupid of me.

Me and a friend installed my short shifter in about an hr yesterday. It wasn't that hard. the hardest part was taking the small urethane knobs on the stock shifter off and putting them on the new short shifter. I also couldn't figure out where the bushings go, so i left them out. if anyone can tell me where those damn bushings go, let me know.

the bushings go on the base of the shifter where the top of the housing is connected to the bottom with 4 bolts on each corner....hope that helps

Yep...the base of the plastic that is the mount for the whole shifter assembly. You'll see some energy bushings that look similar to the ones you got only thinner.

heh yea i was the one who did it in 30 mins, only b/c a couple days befo me and my friend put a pacesetter sts on his 99 maxima and it was freakin hard... we had to get under the car, take off the cat, take off a heat shield and dissassemble the shifter housing from the bottom. took us like 4+ hours in 90 degree weather. so the ease of installing mine was quite welcome after that and i already had an idea of what i needed to do befo i started. Plus the directions they give you are very thorough.

Easy

I had a little help putting mine on. Did it in less than an hour. Had it on and driving, works great. All you have to do is reemmber how everything goes, and dont lose anything and then its easy.
