What's the life expectancy on this set up, 50,000ish miles? What's the plan when the shocks crap out, replace the shock or the whole setup?

Life expectancy should be equal or greater than stock Shocks/Springs. How long is that?

"Unfortunately, the new kit will not fit the Lancer ES model. It is because the Tein Type Basic will use the stock top mount. Currently we are not going to make a coilover kit for the ES model but maybe in the future we will."

Here's an email I just recieved back from Tein...weird, Uranium9v said that they fit. Did you have to make any modifications????

Listen to what Ura said: Rock, I put the adjustable Tein set on my ES....fits fine. The difference detween the OZ and ES suspension is the spring size and top spring mount. The Tein's replace the mount because their springs are different sizes than OZ and ES.

Essentially the suspension difference is NEGLIGIBLE. Another owner (with an ES as well if I remember right), p911t I think was the name, also has the SS kit as well. The kit will fit.

I thought the EDFC only changed the stiffness of the strut and you still have to get out the car to change height.

edit: not that it's available to the lancer anyway....

EDFC only changes dampning not height!

EDFC does not work on kit where dampning is not adjustable.

haha, i was just playin anyway.

so this kit does in fact allow you to change your ride height, correct? that's the most important thing to me considering that i'm working with 18x8 225/40/18 right now....
drop too low and there goes my tire investment.

Very true. At least you can fine tune it to your Wheel package.
