I'd like more information on just how "plug and play" it could possibly be.

So, is this real HID? I take an HID 9007 bulb and put it in the existing housing? What wiring do I have to complete? Where does the ballast end up, and what kind of warranty does the kit have?

here is how
1. unplug your stock light and socket.
2. install hid bulb into headlight and plug to the ballest socket,
3. connect the ballaest to the starter
4. connect starter to the stock power socket.
5. find a place under hood to hold the ballast and starter.

That is it, no wire cut or anything. Just plug it and all wire plug is come with it.

Who makes these HID's?

are they the real thing or are they those "conversion" type kits?

Don't know, Lancer is using 9007 not H1. Maybe foglight?
