well it is not 100% true, because if there is oil cover on top of intake the air will not be $uck in. And yes the oil is try to avoid the water but if you have the vent on top of filter, no matter what. There will be some water to be $uck in.

The most aftermarket filter is not design direct contact of water.

the grill/mesh question brings up a good point: we need a carbon fiber grill!!! come on calvin, you seem to be our main c.f. source. how sweet would a c.f. grill look with my c.f. hood? damn sweet!

Yes it is true, but i'm already think of that. and i have ask and check how much it will cost for CF grill, all i can say it is TOO MUCH.
Because the grill is small and many edge, it will spend alot of time to finish the last layer of Carbon Fiber.
That is why i didn't start working on the grill.

The hardest is the last layer of carbon fiber and polish on top, that is why carbon fiber cost alot because of the labor.
the last layer must be all hand made!

well, how about a more simple design like the newest rrm grill? it has virtually no edges and has a lot less surface area, so in theory would be much cheaper to make. i would definitely be satisfied with that design in c.f.

still it will cost too much to making the grill as carbon fiber, because the labor to finish the last layer.

the rrm grill is 100% carbon?
