Rear Strut Braces
Hi everybody. I've been fabricating these for a few months now and have decided to go public. I don't do the parts fabrication full time, so I only have a limited number of these. Feel free to post questions here.
Edit 6/18 (price change)
The rear strut brace is $75 +ship, they come in a variety of shades of black. They're spraypainted, not powdercoated so don't be afraid to go at it with some Krylon
Here's a pic:

Archangelite asked: What does a rear strut brace do?
Well it does what a front strut brace does- only for the rear
Basically, it doesn't let the strut towers flex, allowing more of the energy of the turn to go into your suspension setup... it makes the rear more responsive, in a passive sort of way. One guy described it to me as "the rear wants to follow the front now. Before it was kinda being drug around" And I'd have to agree.
A sway bar on the other hand works to reduce roll- you know, when that minivan in front of you takes that turn at 25 and you think it'll tip over.... that's rolling

Rear strut for sure. Removing the tower flex will have more effect than further connecting the lower suspension.
I'm mostly marketing the tie bars to folks who have a need for the trunk space that the strut brace would take up or otherwise interfere with. i.e. Digdat's speakerbox behind the seats.

This bar is perfect, since I'm not too big on an amazing system, and I just want to add a little bit more oomph on the low end, I think a bazooka system would be good for me, and now I have something to strap it down to.
Improves handling AND you can strap stuff down to it? How could you POSSIBLY go wrong?

I got mine from engineerboy a month ago. Both front and rear. It's well made at a reasonable price. He is very knowledgeable too so don't be afraid to ask.
Here's pics of what I got from him (if I attached this pics correctly)

Thank you moderators
GreenArcher: those look good in red! Have you had a chance to "try them out" if you know what I mean? Had any problems with them?

And the rear strut brace makes a great shoe rack
I thought I'll keep the theme in RED and black. Just ignore that blue tube from the intake. It'll be replaced when I find a red one.
D'oh. GreenArcher's carpet cut job is better than mine, I'm jealous. I have 2 big squares missing, and they're not even in the right spot. Good job though.
High speed cornering into the proper lane. It's a good thing.

1) remove the carpeting (as I realize later, this was only for me to figure out where that square metal hole is). Measure where in the carpet the cut should be.
2) Replace the carpet back. Mark down with a marker where you should slice. You are slicing the 3 sides of a box. The bottom and the 2 sides. Do not slice the top.
3) Slice the carpet with a box cutter. (careful. this carpet is tough.)
4) You'd have to slice the bottom part beyond the rear vertical slice to allow for movement of your ratchet.
5) Pass the strut brace through and bolt on and replace carpet clips.
cool. my first "how to".
Engineerboy... do you have any in stock or do you need some time to make another one.
To anybody who has this bar. Can you give me some measurements. The ones I need are:
. Distance between the trunk floor and the bar
. Distance between the bar and the rear seat
. Distance between the bar and the rear deck
Thanks
