Just because a car is AWD doesn't automatically mean it needs yaw control. As many people here with Evos can contest to, and after all the articles that we've all read, the US Evo isn't exactly hurting in the handling department without it. Yes, it would be a nice feature to have, but once the price goes up, people start to get edgy.Hilg
Don't forget warranty expenses for such a system. The typical RL driver isn't going to drag race, auto-x, or track the car, and most likely won't push the car to 9/10 or 10/10 on a semi-regular basis. So, the RL's yaw stability system has a much easier environment to operate in than AYC would, so it's less likely to need repairs down the road.

^ Actually, $49.470 to even more exact (includes destination).
Honda apparently wants to use this new SH-AWD to further distance Acura from Honda. Basically, they say the system is designed around a 3.0L V6 and more powerful engine.
Candidates for SH-AWD? The TL for sure, and supposedly even the NSX, so claims Autoweek.
