The stock Bridgestone RE070s aren't cheap either, 180 a pop at tirerack compare to $214 a piece for the A046, and they don't last that long if you're racing with them, you'll have to replace them anyway sooner or later.

Also we're talking less then a second around the track(According to the last Motor Trend test I think), most drivers out there can't replicate those times.

My mentor at a driving school once told me, the best modification you can do to your car is learn how to drive, and I'm a true believer of that. You really can't go wrong with either of these cars, if you know how to drive them.

neither car was designed to be a luxury car if that is what you want look elsewhere like BMW just my 2 cents I personally bought the car because leather and useless electronic gizmos do nothing for me my wife on the other hand lol loves that crap so she drives a full loaded jeep GC

Great car, I dont want 2 door or RWD. I also think $52k is a bit too much. Almost and EVO and STI for 1 M3.

luxury to me is having wonderful Recaro seats, Momo steering wheel, controls all within perfect reach, and having a car i can drive year round in any weather, that's liveable in everyday use on the roads, and can turn into an all out track machine with just the roll of the accelerator... the Evo has that all... plus a more durable Iron block...

I recommend either car to anyone... but for me, my tastes, my driving style, the evo suits much better... Good luck with either car, they're both great cars within their own rights...

the beep on the sti kinda sucks. it's just one quick beep and that's it. so there's a chance you won't hear it. other rpm beepers i've heard give a beep when you hit the designated rpm and then start beeping very quickly if you pass it till it eventually sets a tone at redline.
the rpm adjustment thing i heard is not only about setting the shift light and beeper, though. it's a comfort feature. for example, when you're driving on an incline, the engine will adjust for you without you giving more gas to keep the same speed.

I drove the 05' sti back to back with a used 03' EVO. Even w/o the 05' upgrades the EVO was simply a funner car to drive. The 05' Sti no doubt is a nice car. The interior of the STI looks unarguably better. But sit inside an Sti, and it really feels cramp. I think the 05' Gsr is a better buy.

What about at VW the R32 is suppose to have a better interior it has a little less performance.

For a couple of bucks more you can move up into a Acura TL it has all the goodies and only one option ... Navigation.

If you just want a little bit of both all in one package , go look elsewhere. These cars don't offer a little bit of performance and for the money, just having 4 doors should be enough luxury and shiny guages and Recaro seats should be enough interior aesthetic.
Best reply I heard so far!!!!
For 30k more or less, you are getting a lot. A lot of performance!!! If you want a mixture of luxury and performance, try a M3. But then again, you might not want to pay over 50k, right??? Oh well, you win some, you lose some. People should just stop complaining about the EVO not having any luxury. So you want a peformance car for 30k that can out handle many cars above $50k and you want luxury??? That's a joke. Sure can put luxury in it. You want to pay another 10k?? Anyways, just my opinion and no one elses.

I agree Alias... how much more do you want to spend on Luxury? I think it is an individual choice. If you want Bling Bling, then get ready for $CHING CHING$... for the money bone stock you can not say anything else than WOW! You can even get leather to dress it up some more if you want. Can't complain with that. Keep in mind the price and you should be happy. You can not pretend you are going to get the handling of a Ferrari, Luxury of a Maybach for 30K, Just isn't happening.

That is negative There is no such thing is a RPM adjustment thing, haha. There is the adjustment for the shift light/beep, and that is it. And the Beep is pretty dang loud.
