Hey guys..I was having difficulting locating the stock boost levels on a 1998 GSX...anyone know it? thanks

 

The stock wastegate actuator is a 15 psi unit. But the compressor bypass valve is cheap plastic and can only hold 11-12 psi usually.

So if you hook a boost gauge up to a stock GST/GSX, it'll read 11-12 psi. Replace the valve and it holds at 15. Hope that helps.

 

my 96 gst ran 14psi until i ported the turbo, then it ran 11psi.

 

Thanks...a friend was curious..he just installed a boost gauge on his and wasn;t sure what it should be reading.
