Looks like us RA folks won't be the only ones with the Ralliart badging....

Straight from the SEMA show..here come the endeavor and galant Ralliart editions. I'm digging the Galant!!

 

The Ralliart Galant looks ok to me, Brembo brakes are nice. I did read that it has a 3.8L MIVEC that makes 260hp (194kW) which is 800cc more then they need for that power figure. Mitsubishi used to make a 3L MIVEC that produced about 270hp (201kW) and a 3.5L MIVEC that produced about 280hp (210kw). A shame they don't make those engines anymore.

Make AWD an option again like the VR4 and that's a sexy car.

That is a good idea, the VR-4 was a nice car. I hope this car has a least a LSD? Not that I will be buying one but it doesn't seem like a sports car to me without a LSD. I can only imagine trying to get 260hp through one front wheel, I think the torque steer would be horrible.

Definitely a step in the right direction, but I still wouldn't buy one.

 

I like it! - Then again... who knows what the final version will look like or include... I'd like to hear what they did with the engine/suspension/etc...

nice, inside and out... still I think i might take a altima SE-R instead, im partial to nissan.

 

the interior of the galant looks photoshopped. other than that, it looks decent, though i wonder what the price will be, and why they aren't cranking out A LOT more power with a 3.8 mivec.

 

Has Mitsu said when this galant is supposed to come out?

 

as a 2006 model i think, if it does. the lancer is also rumored for another redesign then. hope they fix the headlights.

 

Those were both special for the SEMA show. I talked with the R&D guy at the booth and he said they did a little tweaking on the car nothing real drastic.

One other note, he said the vortex generator on the MR is nothing but eye candy. His words not mine and he is the Head of R&D.

Not bad at all. I think ralliart editions of every mitsu would definately spice up their image in the states. What they really need to do is bring back the 3000gt and the galant vr-4, maybe thats what this might be?
