Help with 99 Explorer

A buddy of mine has a 99 ex. There is a bumping noise (at 25mph and up) located near the tranny somewhere. He got some bad advice, and after a new front right bearing, we are still out of luck...... any help?

sell it. My in-laws have 2000 Explorer and had a similar issue.......$4500 later they have a rebuilt tranny that now sounds like it's grinding. Explorers are tremendous hunks of crap with horrible build quality so I'd suggest your friend get out of it now because they are money pits of all hell.
